Propinquity - PDF pattern

Propinquity (pro-pin-kwi-tee): closness, kinship...

When I was in high school, I first heard the word ‘propinquity’. For some reason, even though it is a word used rarely (... & is a unique & qwirky word) - I never forgot it, & it has become one of my favorite words. When it came time to name this design, it kept popping up in my mind & I reasoned that it celebrates the ‘kinship’ of the checkerboard & hourglass blocks used in this quilt design.

So here’s to propinquity ... (& fun quilts!)

Pieced version - 72" x 72"
